Smile

I haven't posted here in awhile, although I have no good reason as to why. I've still been writing, albeit primarily in analog form. I guess I just sort of forgot about it. I'll try to do better in the future, baby. You know I love you.

I'm pretty tired. It's not very late, only 10pm or so, but I've stayed up past 2am the past two nights. I need sleep. Five or six hours just doesn't cut it. I've definitely noticed a fall off in performance and thinking capacity. Hell, my housemate beat me 3 times (out of six games) in foosball yesterday; that's got to be a first. I think it's been a couple months since the last time he even beat me once. I need some serious sleep. Or maybe not serious sleep; I could use some lighthearted sleep.

The irony is that even though I haven't slept much, I did have a very vivid dream the other night. I don't usually remember my dreams, but this one I did. It was one of those realistic ones that kind of throws you when you wake up. What happened? Well, a gentleman never tells. And neither will I (hahaha, stupid well-traveled joke, but whatever).

Tonight after work I stopped in to get some groceries. As I walked down the sidewalk to my car, I stared into the western sky. It still held a faint light from the well-set sun. I noticed a car parked along the curb and glanced in. A woman was sitting alone in the passenger seat, watching me. She had a slight smile on her face and held my eyes with mine. It was one of those moments that immediately made me smile and laugh a little bit. I had no reason to smile, except for some random stranger smiling at me. As I continued on to my car, I could still feel a grin on my face; I just couldn't shake it.

That's my little story for the day. I may post some of the stuff I've written over the past few months, but we'll see. Maybe if I get a lot of fan mail I'll do it.
