It’s June and the heat’s begun

the rains have passed

but they’ll come again

I’m melting in the humidity

I’m longing for the cooling rain

Where did my Spring go

Why am I waiting for Summer to move on

The Fall may be beautiful

But it just brings Winter and the end

Sometimes I feel like I’m just looking for a smile

No one in particular

Okay maybe her or Her or her

Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting for something

I'm past the beginning

I hope I'm not at the end

I see familiar strange faces

while searching for certain old friends

I feel hot and bothered

conditioned to air my thoughts

and desires

Unsure if or when

I'll quench certain fires
