Passing Storm

I’m not sure

what it might mean

Standing alone

looking up into the night sky

A bright planet before me

stars laying dimly nearby

Jupiter has nothing on you

My feet move forward

of their own accord

My eyes sweep

the ground before me

My mind is lost in thought

working through various

trials and tribulations

disasters and discombobulations

You have nothing to do with me

I sense a change in the moonlight

clouds rolling in above

A storm perhaps

or just a passing disturbance

Air and water

pressure and temperature

impacting life below

The moon gives a wave

as it is hidden from sight

It thinks nothing of us tonight
